Nowadays it is more common to know someone who is enrolled in an online course. Do you know what difficulties he/she has while studying in a virtual campus or an online learning environment? How do students learn in an online learning environment? What type of educational support do they need? What competencies do teacher
s need when teaching online? How can teachers and students use the ICT to learn in an online learning environment? Answers to these questions are the main interest of EdOnline Research Group.
Within the context of knowledge construction processes in online learning environments from a socio-constructivist perspective, EdOnline Research Group has three specific research lines:
- The analysis of educational support, which contributes to knowledge building, specifically the feedback and peer feedback in writing processes.
- The contribution of ICT and digital media to the development of learning to learn competencies in lifelong learning
- The design and implementation of training actions about how to teach and learn in online learning environments (online methodologies).
